Population Context
Project70 cards are moderately graded in PSA and BGS populations. The set was printed to demand during a specific sales window, so print runs vary significantly. High-number cards like #599 toward the end of the set sometimes have lower print runs due to reduced demand windows. PSA 10 populations vary by card but many Project70 cards grade well due to the card stock used. Collectors should check PSA's registry for the specific population on this card.
Collector Notes
Project70 was released as a limited-time print-on-demand style set celebrating Topps' 70th anniversary, featuring reimagined baseball card designs by 50 artists across 70 cards each. Card #599 falls late in the set numbering. Key things to watch: centering can be inconsistent across the Project70 run, and surface issues or print artifacts occasionally appear. Always inspect corners and surfaces carefully before submitting for grading. The artist who designed this specific card adds collectibility — collector demand can be tied to both the player (Ozzie Smith) and the artist featured.
