A single overall number tells you nothing actionable. Every grade here breaks down into the four things a grading company actually assesses — and names which one is the ceiling on your card.
Border ratios measured on the front and reported as real numbers — 55/45, 60/40 — against the thresholds PSA actually publishes for a 9 and a 10.
All four judged separately. On a holo, tip whitening against a dark border is the difference between a 9 and an 8, and it is the easiest thing to miss by eye.
Chipping and whitening along the cut — the flaw that punishes dark-bordered TCG cards hardest, and the reason so many look mint until they come back a 7.
Print lines, scratches and holo scuffing. Reflective foil hides marks at one angle and reveals them at another, so this is scored on what actually breaks the print.

Common questions
Does this work for Pokémon cards specifically?
Yes. Upload front and back photos and choose Pokémon as the card type. The four condition attributes graders assess — centering, corners, edges, surface — are the same for a Charizard as for a rookie card, and holo surface and edge wear are exactly where TCG cards usually lose their grade.
Is it free?

Is this an official PSA grade?
No, and nothing here claims to be. It is an estimate on the PSA 1–10 scale, meant to tell you whether a card is worth the submission fee before you pay it. Only a grading company can assign a real grade.
What about Magic, Yu-Gi-Oh and other TCGs?
The grader accepts them — choose Magic: The Gathering or Other TCG as the card type. Condition assessment is card-stock agnostic; market data coverage is strongest for Pokémon today and improves as more cards are researched.
Do I have to send my card anywhere?
No. Everything here runs on photos you take yourself. The point is to decide whether shipping the card to a grader is worth it — before it leaves your hands.
